InterNations

I'm honored to announce that the folks at InterNations (www.internations.org), an invite-only social network for people who live and work abroad, have invited me to be a featured blogger for Ecuador on their website. Representing over 300 communities, InterNations has global members numbering in the hundreds of thousands. See the badge in the right hand column below.

This comes on the heels of the Expat Daily News Latin America naming eddsaid one of the "Best Blogs in Latin America." It is amazing for me to think back on starting a little blog almost four years ago for my personal enjoyment, then watching readership grow to thousands of people in over 35 countries!

So many people have shared that my writing has been a big part of their decision to relocate to Ecuador. This is an unintended responsibility that I take quite seriously. I always strive to represent my life here candidly and honestly. From my heart I thank you for your support and the kind comments I receive from you on the blog and by email.

Congratulations on all the recent good developments. You work hard, you're honest, and you're interesting.

With a bit of luck I'll be showing up before long. Although money will be tight for the next year and a half, I can probably get by.

Given the vibrancy of the area and my writing and web development skills, plus some ideas I already have, I may be able to fit in somewhere.

But for now, it's back to learning Spanish.

Good luck!

It's not surprising that your writing is being noticed. It is always a god read and IL Magazine just got a little better!

Cheers, Peter.
